Things that interest me

I have a few hobbies and things that interest me.

— Computers

I like Unix operating systems and messing around with operating systems as a whole. I used to run Gentoo fulltime, a while back I ran FreeBSD for about six months on my gaming desktop.
I have no issue with Gnu/Linux, Gnu/Herd, and or BusyBox/Linux. But I find the Linux kernel development to be unstable and quite chaotic; I prefer OpenBSD or any *BSD over *Linux systems — You can read more: HERE.

I also like to mess around with old computers and repairing them. I currently have no servers running at my house, but I used to run up to five local servers on old desktop towers that I repaired.

I quite like self-hosting my own services, I run my own web server & email server on a rented VPS. I just like having full control over the services I use instead of being at the will of some random (most likely evil) company.

I also used to run a Jellyfin server on my home-network as a replacement for services like Netflix (See Richard Stallman's "Reasons not to use Netflix").
