Death of the Pope of Rome and the Vacancy of the Apostolic See

Today, the Pope of Rome (Pope Francis) passed away.

I am not Roman Catholic but I do have Catholic family members and friends - Death is always sad especially so close to Easter; It feels quite surreal having having his death fall so near to Easter, especially that Pascha (East) and Easter (West) fell on the same date.

Even if you’re not Roman Catholic (like myself) please pray for the soul of Francis1.

I do hope that the next Pope will be more traditional; Like Pope Leo XIII at the least and Pope Leo III at the best2. And for my SSPX friends hopefully he’ll be more friendly to the TLM, but time will tell…
